The score is wrong for where I am
Open Settings in the app and check the town under Forecast for. Tap Update location to take a new fix. The forecast covers a region, so a town a few kilometres off is fine.
The sky was better or worse than the score
The score is built from weather model forecasts of cloud, humidity and visibility, and models miss. Low cloud toward the sun is the usual culprit. Treat high scores as a reason to look, not a guarantee.
I did not get an alert
Alerts need notifications allowed for Sunset in iOS Settings and a score at or above your threshold (70 unless you changed it with Sun+). Sunrise alerts arrive the evening before. Storm, rainbow and fog alerts need Sun+. Alerts are rebuilt from the latest forecast each time the app refreshes, so a sky that clouded over loses its alert. Opening the app once a day keeps the forecast fresh.
The widget says to open the app
The widget needs a saved location and forecast. Open Sunset once and allow location.
Restore Sun+
Open Settings, choose Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase.
