Sober for Android Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
Sober (listed on Google Play as Sober: Sobriety Day Counter, published by E3 Apps) is a personal sobriety tracker for Android. It does not require an account.
Data stored on your device
Your sobriety start date, check-ins, mood, notes, journal entries, craving sessions, garden state, achievements, savings estimates, settings, and reminder preferences are stored only on your phone, in the app's private storage. This information is not uploaded, and it is excluded from Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer.
Purchases
Bloom+ is offered through monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. Google Play processes payment. RevenueCat verifies purchase status and may process an anonymous app user ID, purchase and entitlement information, simple counts of when the upgrade screen was shown (for example, how many times and on which screen), and limited technical context such as app version and device type. It never receives your journal, check-ins, notes, cravings, or other app content. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Google's privacy policy.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, the app schedules them on your phone. Their text is created on the device and nothing is sent to a server to deliver them.
What we do not collect
No account, advertising, ad identifiers, analytics SDKs, cross-app tracking, location, contacts, photos, or health platform data. We do not sell or share personal information.
Retention and deletion
Local data stays on your phone until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app, which removes it. Google and RevenueCat keep transaction records as needed to process and restore purchases. Support emails contain whatever you choose to send and are used only to answer you.
To delete your data from Sober: Sobriety Day Counter (E3 Apps):
- Your sobriety records, journal, cravings and settings: uninstall the app, or clear its storage in Android Settings > Apps > Sober Tracker > Storage > Clear storage. None of this is stored off your phone.
- Data held by RevenueCat for your anonymous purchase ID (purchase history, app-open and purchase-screen counts): email jackwallner@gmail.com with the subject "Sober Android data deletion". We delete it within 30 days. Google Play order records are kept by Google under its own policy and are not deleted by this request.
Health information
Sober shows general wellness information with sources. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat any condition.
Children and changes
Sober is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We may update this policy when the app or its services change.
