Posture Support
Last updated: July 4, 2026
Posture turns your AirPods into an always-on posture coach. Pop them in and Posture watches your head position in the background, giving you a gentle buzz when you slouch. Your daily report shows how you actually sat, hour by hour.
What Posture Needs
Posture reads alignment from the head-motion sensor in your AirPods. You need:
- Compatible AirPods — AirPods Pro (1st & 2nd gen), AirPods (3rd gen), AirPods 4 with ANC, or AirPods Max, connected to this iPhone
- Motion access — to read head angle from your AirPods during monitoring
- Notifications — optional, for gentle reminders during your active hours
- Background audio — Posture+ uses a silent audio session so iOS keeps delivering AirPods motion while the app is in the background; iOS shows an orange dot when monitoring is active
For Apple Watch coaching:
- HealthKit access — on Apple Watch only, for background wrist-motion coaching
Subscriptions
Posture+ is a subscription with monthly and yearly plans plus a lifetime unlock. A free trial is available on the subscription plans. Manage or cancel any time in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Payment and refunds are handled by Apple.
Troubleshooting
- If monitoring won't start, confirm your AirPods are connected to this iPhone and that Posture has Motion permission in Settings.
- If calibration seems off, run a new calibration: stand tall, sit tall, then slouch on purpose so Posture learns your range.
- If you don't feel nudges when slouching, check that background monitoring is enabled in Settings and your AirPods are in your ears.
- If Apple Watch nudges aren't coming through, check that HealthKit permissions are granted and your watch is on your wrist.
- If streaks aren't updating, open the app while wearing your AirPods so monitored minutes can sync.
- To restore Posture+ after reinstalling, open Settings in Posture and tap Restore Purchases.
Privacy
Posture does not create an account, does not send your posture data to a server, and does not include analytics, ads, or tracking. Your AirPods' head-motion data is processed on-device and never recorded or transmitted.
