Posture Support
Last updated: May 28, 2026
Posture is an AI posture coach for AirPods, iPhone, and Apple Watch. It sends gentle reminders during your active hours; each tap opens a quick three-second AirPods posture check. Duolingo-style streaks help the habit stick.
What Posture Needs
Posture reads your alignment from the head-motion sensor in your AirPods, so the core free experience needs:
- Compatible AirPods — AirPods Pro (1st & 2nd gen), AirPods (3rd gen), AirPods 4 with ANC, or AirPods Max, connected to this iPhone
- Motion access — to read head angle from your AirPods during a check-in
- Notifications — so reminders can nudge you during your active hours (optional, but recommended)
For Posture+ features (optional):
- Quiet background monitoring — keeps reading AirPods head-motion while the app is in the background
- HealthKit access — on Apple Watch only, for background wrist-motion coaching
Subscriptions
Posture+ is optional. Manage or cancel any time in Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Payment and refunds are handled by Apple.
Troubleshooting
- If a check-in won't scan, confirm your AirPods are connected to this iPhone and that Posture has Motion permission in Settings.
- If calibration seems off, run a new calibration by sitting up straight and tapping Calibrate in Settings.
- If AirPods monitoring isn't working, confirm motion permissions are granted in Settings and your AirPods are connected.
- If Apple Watch nudges aren't coming through, check that HealthKit permissions are granted and your watch is on your wrist.
- If streaks aren't updating, open the app and complete a reminder check-in to refresh the streak state.
- To restore Posture+ after reinstalling, open Settings in Posture and tap Restore Purchases on the Posture+ screen.
Privacy
Posture does not create an account, does not send your data to a server, and does not include analytics, ads, or tracking. Your AirPods' head-motion data is processed on-device and never recorded or transmitted.
